There are very few musical groups capable of executing a complicated run-of-show utilizing a live band, much like you see when you watch the Academy Awards on television. When a show requires a large live band to perform complex cues, we utilize an off-stage producer who is calling the shots to the on stage Musical Director. All verbal cues are communicated to the band via the In Ear Monitor (IEM) system and talk back microphones. For this show, we had the 12 piece Hip Service band using the IEMs. This system enables the show producer who is calling the show to communicate all cues and changes on the fly. We have produced many corporate events and awards ceremonies, and it works flawlessly.
