Hip Entertainment and Events was delighted to provide the entertainment for this industry showcase at the San Francisco Exploratorium one of our favorite venues for special events.

An intimate Speakeasy lounge was created inside the auditorium, filled to capacity with fabulous flappers, extravagant costumes, entertaining acrobatics, a dance showcase and a truly remarkable big band that was equal parts entertainment and excellent music.

Hip Tip: Gatsby is a widely loved theme and it's tempting to have a full night of spot on theme big band music. Unless your big band is also a spectacular show - it's worth considering if two or more hours of big band music is really your guest's cat's pajamas. It's easy to mix the night up and go from Glenn Miller to Cherry Poppin' Daddies to a hot dance mix of more contemporary music with a DJ or Dance Band.
